Fashion design on the cover of WOTH

the cover of WOTH 4

For the cover of Woth Magazine's 4th issue, we decided upon featuring fashion design as well as interior design. The sculptural yellow pants on the cover of our magazine (yes they are, wearable, pants) is a design from the Collectie Arnhem 2017. This garment is in made in thick, felted wool, it fits neatly on the top, but flares rather hysterical in shape at the bottom: wonderful! Also featured on the cover are the Standard Chair by Vitra, the Presentation Ring by Bob Van Dijk, the Menu Well Watering Can and the larger-than-life Gloriosa flowers by Linda Nieuwstad.

Collectie Arnhem Fashion Design

Collectie Arnhem is an annual, collective project in which third-year bachelor students, from the Fashion Design department at ArtEZ Arnhem, collaborate. Collectie Arnhem is aimed to teach not only design but also to develop, present, market and sell a cohesive collection. The project offers a laboratory-style environment where students research and explore diverse aspects of the process and the actual profession of fashion designer.

Next to cultivating design talent, the project stimulates a practical approach to entrepreneurial factors such as teamwork, finance, promotional and organizational skills. The project culminates in a fashion presentation, organized by the students themselves and presented to a professional audience each year in January. This year, during Amsterdam Fashion Week, at the New Werktheater in Amsterdam.

You will have a second chance to see the collection in real life during the annual ArtEZ Arnhem fashion show on 1 + 2 June.
