About WOTH

WOTH Wonderful Things Magazine is an international print magazine appearing 6 x a year in separate Dutch and an English editions.

September 2016 we launched WOTH in Amsterdam, partly funded by a successful crowdfunding campaign. We love print and graphic design so much we keep making each issue better and more colorful.

However wonderful, life is not all about things. It’s thinking that ignites creativity and innovation. Each issue WOTH talks to 5 of the sharpest minds around: young, old, chefs, architects, entrepreneurs. Remarkable people like Marcel Wanders, Rosanna Orlandi, Nika Zupanc, Rolf Hay, Jeannette Altherr, Piet Oudolf or Matteo Cibic.

WONDERFUL THINGS   —  REMARKABLE THINKING

WOTH offers readers an inside look into the homes and studios of the makers; the Eindhoven home of Mieke Meijer, the London studio of Bethan Laura Wood. Our portfolio shows a cross section of the oeuvre of a designer like Natalie du Pasquier. WOTHSON higlights the best events, shows, exhibitions around the world. WOTH was founded by Mary Hessing and Toon Lauwen. Next to the magazine there is also WOTH Studio that cathers to your needs.

Mary Hessing is know for her sharp eye, style, creativity and commercial intuition. She is a strong believer in straightforward thinking and fair play. Next to all of this she is a communication expert that over the years established a perfect network.
She worked as a second editor in chief at Hollands biggest women’s magazine Libelle (2000 —’09) and as Editor in Chief of both More Than Classic and Eigen Huis & Interieur. (2009 — ’16) From 1991 to 2000 she ran her own company Hessing & Janssen focusing on the production of Fashion Shows (Le Cri Neérlandais with Viktor & Rolf) books and events.
On her instigation and supervision Eigen Huis & Interieur was restyled in 2011 by Pentagram New York. Pentagram’s partner Luke Hayman worked together with Hessing and her team. The restyling was rewarded BEST ART DIRECTION (Mercur 2012) in Holland and won a prestigieus OZZY Award in America.
