Opera: Passion, Power and Politics

The Victoria & Albert museum in London and the Royal Opera House created a visual narrative on Opera. Opera: Passion, Power and Politics. This project covers a period of some 400 years (yes, 4 centuries) and shows the complete spectrum of the performing art of Opera. Scheduled are: seven premieres in seven European cities, next to that paintings, posters, architecture, sound, film and everything else which has to do with the Opera will be on show. The exhibition starts from its origins, the late-Renaissance in Italy, to the present, modern day in which the opera 'exploded' internationally.

Opera: Passion, Power and Politics will run until 25.02.18
