Michael Jackson On the Wall

28.06.18 – 21.10.18

Michael Jackson would have been 60 years this summer, so the National Portrait Gallery in London decided upon an exhibition: ’On the Wall’ shows Michael Jackson’s influence on the art world. Work of more than 40 artists who have, at some point, used the King of Pop as muse, is on show. Work has been selected from public and private collections around the world. Some names: Andy Warhol (who painted Jackson in his signature Pop Art-style for a 1984 Time magazine cover) Kehinde Wiley and Grayson Perry. Also new works made especially for the exhibition will be showed.
